WW1 Australian Army Slouch Hat.Gallipoli Era

Purchased from Antique dealer in the UK who stated hat worn in gallipoli campaign,i have no way of knowing this other than it matches photographs i have studied.WW1 condition ,remembering this hat is well over 100 years old so does show wear to the stitching and khaki fur/felt material.There are moth holes as can be seen in photos.Sweet band is torn in places and is brittle and also shows underneath where I would suspect a size and maker tag was.It has the correct 8 wrap around pugaree to the crown and this in surprisingly good condition.shows the correct 2 lug Australian Rising sun badge on the upturned brim which is fastened to the crown via a push button.Chin strap is interesting as have not seen a leather plat chin strap before,this Leeds me to think the original strap has broken and the solider has designed his own strap as a replacement,just my theory.The strap is fastened in with what looks like some sort of brass clips and a knot.This hat is a true piece of history weather worn in the dessert,Gallipoli or eroupe
