Rare Tabs .Rank is Obersturmfuhrer.Red woolen cloth with fine silver wire ruins.Rank side has silver wire strip with 3 rank pips.Correct bruckham backing .excellent worn condition.29th Italian SS division first formed in 1943.Initially wore SS insignia with with red background,then after battle of Anzio ,which they fought in and performed reasonably well were permitted by himmler to wear the traditional SS insignia with the black background.After this mainly performed anti partisan duties.Although these collar tabs are more rarer than your traditional SS tabs,for some reason they don’t seem to be as worth as much as traditional SS insignia.excellent set for the SS collector that might not have come across them.foot note.These tabs and the other unissued officers black tabs for sale on this site and any more SS insignia you see posted are being purchased from a American website owner/collector i know of that is down sizing and closing his website,therefore products are of top quality.      Click on pay by credit card to activate after pay
