The number "4" followed by "fnj" indicates the date of manufacture as 1944. Serial number 7706 a.Scabbard 7422.Excellent plus blade with blued steel blade and dark bakelite (plastic) handle grips.Scabbard is in very good condition showing no real dents or major scratches.leather frog is also in very good condition with that old leather smell to it.markings on leather frog and pommel and push button.Top quality k98 with a near perfect blade just a pity it’s not a matching set……
