Early E. Knecht SA Dagger(rare)… This one rates 6 out of 10 on the SA Rarity rating. The blade rates a very good but does show dots or age and in/out marks. The brown anodized scabbard shows wear but does remain dent free! The solid nickel scabbard fittings look good with some small hits from normal wear and nice matching patina. The ball is dent free tho .All four screws remain intact! The scabbard | crossguard fit is good The solid nickel crossguards are in excellent condition. The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Wm" (Westmark). The stamp is on a 45 degree angle, which is unique.The brown toned hardwood grip is chip and free, it does has small bumps and a couple of small scratches, again exactly what we expect to see on used original examples. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel is just good.The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and E. Knecht & Co Solingen maker mark are nicely done.This is one of the rarer makers of SA dagger and while not a mint SA dagger it is to me one that has been worn and used in whatever duties the owner preformed.Good honest SA dagger .price reflects rarity.
