Excellent Imperial Transitional Kriegsmarine Dagger by WKC

Imperial Transitional Kriegsmarine Dagger by WKC…. German officers who served in the Imperial German navy after WWI extended their careers to include the 3rd Reich era  under Hitler.
While the Reichsmarine was officially renamed the Kriegsmarine in 1935, it wasn't until 1938 that an official redesign took 
over in regard  to Kriegsmarine daggers .Though instead of purchasing very similar edged weapons to be worn by veteran seamen, the Kriegsmarine procured replacement pommels consisting of a swastkia and eagle and then issued those as a substitute for the flaming ball component on their early dirks. The off-white Trolon core grip on the hilt of this dagger in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or splits.Tightly wrapped around this handle and all in place is a double strand of decorative twisted copper wire.
Holding the assembly all tight is the so called replacement pommel featuring the swastika now to be worn as a 3rd reich Kriegsmarine dagger. The scabbard remains straight, no hits, dings, or bends. Excellent straight blade, full length, void of any sharpening, tipping, or cutting-edge chips.
There is a tiny bit of normal surface age to the plating, This dagger has a stunning black fouled anchor etch. The WKC stamped knight's head trademark is shown on the obverse of the blade.excellent dagger
