Rare Original Fallschirmjajer photos (Crete Campaign)……German World War II paratroopers, known as the  Fallschirmjäger. They 
were an elite airborne branch of the Luftwaffefamed for their intense training, high morale, and specialized gear. They spearheaded daring early-war surprise assaults before transitioning to elite regular ground infantry after suffering severe casualties. The Battle of Crete (1941): Executed history's first large-scale airborne invasion with over 14,000 troops; victory was achieved, but losses were so devastating that Hitler banned future mass parachute drops.photos are from a large purchased lot showing the Mediterranean Sea war along with the dessert war.Numbers on back of photos correspond to a list i have describing photos .will list others in the future.
