WW1 I gave gold for iron Ring (Engraved)

Engraved on the outside with,Gold gab ich fur Eisen 1914 .Translates to I gave gold for iron 1914.During WW1 German citizens would give small amounts of gold to the government to help fund the war & in return received a ring to show their contribution & support.A very interesting find.Size would be small.
